Inside the walls it's romantic but noisy; the beach side is calm but ordinary. We tried both.
This is a sample post, written to show what the template looks like when it’s filled in.
In Budva we stayed in two different areas, at two different hotels. The short answer if you’re travelling with children: the beach side. The long answer is below.

The old town: romantic but noisy
Inside the walls it really is beautiful: stone lanes, little squares, churches. But in summer the music goes on until two in the morning, and getting there by car is close to impossible.
The beach side: calm but ordinary
The hotels along Slovenska Beach are quiet, have pools, and the beach is a short walk away. Architecturally it won’t excite you, but with kids it’s far easier.

Our pick
- As a couple: the old town, even if only for one night.
- With kids: a hotel with a pool on the beach side, and walk over to the old town.
- On a tight budget: the Bečići side is cheaper.
